Johann Taddel

Johann Taddel (born July 27, 1766 in Rostock ; † April 15, 1830 there ; full name: Johann Jakob Andreas Taddel ) was a German lawyer. From 1819 to 1830 he was a mayor of Rostock.

Life

Johann Taddel was the son of the theologian Johann Jakob Andreas Taddel. After attending high school in Rostock, he studied law at the University of Rostock from 1781 , later at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , where he received his doctorate in 1789. From 1789 to 1801 Taddel was a lawyer in the law firm and at the Rostock Higher Court. In 1801 he was elected senator, from 1805 he held the office of town syndic . From 1819 until his death in 1830 he was one of the mayors of Rostock and as such also provisional of the Rostock Monastery of the Holy Cross . Johann Taddel was a member of the Mecklenburg Patriotic Association .
