Johann Volkmar
Johann Volkmar (* in Hamburg ; † November 15, 1617 ibid) was a German scholar and university professor.
Johann Volkmar came from Hamburg and enrolled in the spring of 1584 to study at the University of Rostock . Later he was a private tutor for the sons of Duke Bogislaw XIII for a few years . in Barth . After he received his doctorate on July 6, 1602 at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Rostock, he became professor of Greek language and ethics at the University of Greifswald in August 1602 . Volkmar was dean a few times and was elected rector of the university in autumn 1613.
