Johann Wilkens

Johann Wilkens , not Wilckens , (born December 19, 1762 in Bremen , † July 27, 1815 in Vegesack ) was a lawyer and Senator from Bremen .

biography

Wilkens was the son of councilor Hermann Wilkens (1719–1774) and his wife Anna Sophie (17 ?? - 1783).
He was unmarried. His family had lived in Bremen as linen weavers since before 1600.

He completed his school days in Bremen, from 1779 at the Illustre high school in Bremen . From 1781 he studied law at the University of Göttingen and obtained his doctorate in Göttingen in 1786. jur.

From 1788 to 1809 (†) he was the successor of Christian Nicolaus Schöne Bremen Senator.
