Johanna Bartl (* 1956 in Erfurt ) is a German graphic artist .

Life

She studied from 1977 to 1982 at the Leipzig University of Graphics and Book Art . She then worked as a freelance artist in Tylsen in the Altmark , and since 1994 in Dessau. From 1987 she worked in various locations. From 1991 to 1993 she developed and directed the KUNST AKTIV project in the museums of the city of Salzwedel , and since 1995 the KUNST AKTIV project in the KIEZ office of Otto Koch in Dessau .

Until about 1987 Bartl had mainly occupied himself with drawings. In the following years she expanded her field of work. By working with paper as a reflective surface, she came to work with the themes of time and space. In addition to drawings, she now worked with video, photography, writing and light projections. She turned more to work in which art intervenes in places that are unusual for art. Another important aspect since 1995 has been long-term projects with the participation of many people.
