Johanne Dybwad (born October 22, 1918 in Oslo ; † January 27, 2011 there ) was a Norwegian ski racer .

biography

Dybwad, called Hannemor , was born the daughter of a respected Oslo lawyer. She is a granddaughter of the actress Johanne Dybwad . She won her first slalom in 1933 at the age of 14. In the following years, together with her sister Stella , she advanced to become one of the leading runners in Norwegian skiing, which was beginning to take shape at that time.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where alpine competitions were on the program for the first time, she was a member of the Norwegian team and finished 7th in the combined ranking. She then ended her sports career, married in 1939 and became the mother of four children. Her daughter Kari Garmann was a member of the Norwegian Parliament from 1989 to 1993.
