Saint John the Baptist Righi , also Johannes Righi de Fabriano , (* 1469 in Fabriano , † March 11, 1539 in Cupramontana ) was a Franciscan hermit . As the son of a noble family, he entered the monastery at the age of 15 and was ordained a priest. Since the poverty of the Franciscan community was not enough for him, he retired to Cupramontana near Ancona as a hermit, where he was open to the needs and concerns of the people.

After his death his worship began, which was approved by canonization in 1903 . Remembrance day is the day of his death, March 11th .
