In 2016, Gropp founded his company StoryZoo together with a Dutch investor. First of all, individual words should be learned using simple animations. This concept can easily be translated into any language, so that later the idea arose to produce videos to help children, including those from refugee families, with their daily integration.

The next step was the cooperation with the "Dierenpark Amersfoort" zoo in the Netherlands. This is how the Dutch television broadcaster RTL 8 became aware of “StoryZoo” and found the basis for their first joint projects.

Together with language institutes, pedagogically meaningful content was developed on how children can learn a new language, which his team of 15 employees has prepared for television.

The 13 StoryZoo television episodes are currently running five times a week in the morning at around 9:30 a.m. on RTL8. Dutch children aged two to six learn their first English words here. The episodes are developed by professional script writers. At the beginning of 2017, the television series was sold to ORF, where it has been running since March 22, 2017.

The first StoryZoo books are on the Dutch market, the content of which is seamlessly linked to the TV episodes and which also focus on learning English.
