Johannes Janssen (politician)

Johannes Janssen (born December 6, 1868 in Barmen , † March 1, 1951 in Wuppertal ) was a German politician ( DNVP ).

Life

After attending primary school, Janssen completed a commercial apprenticeship. Later he was the owner of a grocery and grocery store in Barmen, a member of the Elberfeld and Barmen Chamber of Commerce and a board member of various professional associations and associations.

Janssen joined the German National People's Party (DNVP). He was a city councilor in Barmen and a member of the Provisional Reich Economic Council . In February 1921 he was elected as a member of the Prussian state parliament, to which he belonged without interruption until the end of the third legislative period in 1932 and again during the fifth legislative period in 1933. In parliament he represented constituency 22 (Düsseldorf-Ost).

Johannes Janssen had been married to Julie Kraus since 1896 and had ten children.
