Johannes Müller (born January 14, 1733 in Zurich ; died April 8, 1816 there ) was a Swiss cartographer and editor .

Müller, the son of a Zurich tailor, was trained at the age of 20 from 1753 to 1754 in the engineering corps of the French army in Sélestat and Strasbourg . In 1756 he was a civil engineer in Zurich, in 1785 a watch clerk, and in 1789 a lieutenant engineer. He taught mathematics and published the Zurich pocket calendar from 1759 to 1804 under his own name. From 1773 to 1783 he published the twelve-volume archaeological collection of Merck-worthy relics of antiquities in various places of the Eydtgenoschektiven ...

In addition to a large number of other works, Müller copied the plans of the Gyger map , a plan work on a scale of 1: 32,000 from the 17th century. His main work is the so-called Müller plan , which he wrote together with a handwritten commentary on 20 sheets on a scale of 1: 916 and which gives an impression of the building stock of medieval Zurich.
