Johannes Poley
John IV Poley († July 1, 1462 ) was a German - Austrian Cistercian and abbot of the Heiligenkreuz Abbey .
Life
Johannes was a conventual of the Ebrach monastery and professor of theology at the University of Vienna . He was with his abbot Heinrich V. Blumentrost, who on behalf of the abbot of Morimond the abbot election after the resignation of John III. presided, came to Heiligenkreuz. There, Johannes was proposed by the Ebrach abbot to the brothers who were entitled to vote and recognized by them as abbot in 1451. In 1459 he resigned, but according to the Ebrach necrology , he did not die until July 1, 1462.
