Johannes Preuss

Johannes Preuss (* 1983 in Berlin ) is a German film director and screenwriter .

Life

Johannes Preuss was born in Berlin in 1983. First he completed a master’s degree in politics, history and Romance studies at the University of Bonn . As a scholarship holder in the youth development program of the German Development Service , he initially worked as a consultant for a citizen radio in Ghana , West Africa . He then worked as an author and producer of films for development cooperation projects in Ghana, Nigeria and Mexico, among others . As part of a second degree, Preuss is studying at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy with a major in television journalism.

For his film Galamsey - for a handful of gold , a report about illegal gold diggers in Ghana, Preuss will be honored at the Student Academy Awards 2017 .
