Johannes Spielmann

Johannes Spielmann (* in Bettmaringen ; † March 20, 1532 in St. Blasien ) was as Johannes III., Minstrel abbot in the monastery of St. Blasien in the southern Black Forest .

On April 7, 1525, the monastery, which was built by Abbot John III. Spielmann was headed, plundered in the course of the Peasant War and one year later, on April 11, 1526, as an act of revenge by the peasants for the execution of their leader Kunz Jehle, they were completely cremated. Abbot Johannes then took care of the restoration of the building.
