Johannes Vetter (church musician)

Johannes Vetter (* 1952 ) is a German church musician .

Life

Vetter studied church music at the Folkwang University in Essen. His teachers included Gisbert Schneider and Gerd Zacher . He passed his A exam in 1977. From 1991 to 2006 he was cantor of the Von Bodelschwingh Foundation Bethel . In 2002 he was appointed church music director . From 2006 to 2008 he was cantor at the Kreuzkirche and Marktkirche in Essen. He is currently working as a freelance musician, funeral orator and publicist.
