The Johannesen Point is the south-western headland of Main Iceland in the archipelago of South Georgia belonging to the group of Willis Islands .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations named this headland as part of the mapping of South Georgia between 1926 and 1930 as All Johannesen Point after a Norwegian sealer captain who assisted with this work. In the course of measurements by the South Georgia Survey between 1951 and 1952, the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee decided in 1955 to use a shortened name.
