Johannishügel Tutzing Allee

The Johannishügel is a natural monument in the municipality of Tutzing . The hill is an elongated drumlin . The hill was classified as a natural monument in 1979 due to its geological characteristics. The Starnberg local group of the Bund Naturschutz maintains the hill in cooperation with the Benedictus Realschule Tutzing.

location

The Johannishügel lies in a north-south direction on the west bank of Lake Starnberg in the Kustermannpark. The path that leads past the hill through the Kustermannpark is also called Johannishügel; it runs largely parallel to State Road 2063, which is also called Bernrieder Straße in this section, and to the lake shore, where the landing stage for the Tutzing museum ship is located.

use

The hill is a popular destination due to the good view over the lake to the Benediktenwand . In winter it serves as a ski hill for children, on which even ski races are held.
