The section fortification Witterschlick is an abandoned ring wall system at 152  m above sea level. NHN am Hardtberg (on the border with Bonn ) in the Witterschlick district of the municipality of Alfter in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Remnants of ramparts and moats still bear witness to the early medieval wall section . The remains are classified as a ground monument.

Geographical location

At the upper edge of the terrain sloping west to the Hardtbach there is an approximately 100 × 80 m fortification consisting of a rampart and an upstream ditch. In the west the facility is bounded by the steep slope and section trenches, in the north by a natural trench cut. The trenches were up to 8 m wide and 3 to 4 m deep. They are partly filled in.

The castle could be a seat of the Lords of Duisdorf .
