Dattenfeld Castle

Dattenfeld Castle was not built by Pastor Johann Robens, as is usually assumed, but by his brother Jacob Robens, who was a clerk in Windeck. Johann Robens made extensive records from the Thirty Years' War . The rectangular core with the adjoining tower of the castle complex was built between 1619 and 1629 and was later expanded around 1840 through several additions and modifications. The weather vane of the house shows the year 1629. The renovations to the house and the turreted outer wall make the complex look like a mansion .

use

The following former owners are listed on the information board at the gate of the facility:

Civil weddings can take place in the castle, which is now privately owned and also functions as a branch of the Windeck municipal administration. The castle can also be booked for weddings and there are many public events in the castle park.

The property is located on a plot of over 6,000 m² and has a living area of almost 600 m².
