John Baldwin (musician)

John Baldwin (* before 1560; † August 28, 1615 in Southwark ) was an English tenor and composer.

Baldwin was tenor at the Royal Chapel in London and composed various works for instrumental ensembles. His works are preserved in a manuscript in the London British Library, which was created between 1581 and 1606. This manuscript is the only remaining autograph .

Baldwin was married to the orchestral musician Margarete and had a son, Jonathan Baldwin.
