John Bramall
John Bramall (born August 18, 1923 in Stoke-on-Trent , England , † June 13, 2000 in Somerset , England) was a British sound engineer .
Life
Bramall began his film career in 1951 with the film drama The Dark Light by Vernon Sewell . In the 1950s, he remained in the credits partially without naming his name. In 1961 he first worked for British television. From 1967 to 1968 he was involved in 14 episodes of the cult television series number 6 . He worked on two literary adaptations based on Alistair MacLean's novels , Agents Die Lonely and Rendezvous with Death .
In 1971 he and Gordon K. McCallum were nominated for an Oscar in the Best Sound category for Ryan's daughter . This remained his only nomination for a film award. After his last job as a sound engineer on the British television series Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense in 1984, Bramall retired from the film business. He died in Somerset in 2000 .
