John Brooks (athlete)
John Brooks ( John William Brooks; born July 31, 1910 in Vidalia , Louisiana , † October 9, 1990 in Chicago , Illinois ) was an American long jumper .
At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin he was seventh with 7.41 m.
In 1933 he was starting NCAA champions for the University of Chicago . He set his personal best of 7.76 m on July 4, 1935 in Lincoln .
