John Casimir

John Casimir (born October 16, 1898 , † January 3, 1963 in New Orleans ) was an American clarinetist of New Orleans Jazz . In 1938 he founded the Young Tuxedo Brass Band , which he led until his death.

He began playing in the Young Eagles Band in New Orleans in 1919 and was in the Tuxedo Brass Band , in which he played with Louis Armstrong .

As with the Original Tuxedo Jazz Band , in addition to the brass band, he also led a dance band (Young Tuxedo Jazz Band). He recorded with the Brass Band in 1958, but also with the Jazz Band.
