John Gareth Darwin

John Gareth Darwin (born June 29, 1948 in Great Britain ) is a British historian who specializes in the history of the British Empire .

Life

Darwin is a PhD and since 1984 as a Fellow at Nuffield College of Oxford University operates. His appointment is that of the Beit Lecturer on the History of the British Commonwealth .

Darwin has so far published three extensive books on empires and especially on the British Empire.
