John Denney (* 20th century ) is a former American ski jumper .

Denney played his first international tournament in the 1977/78 Four Hills Tournament . However, he only landed in the back of all four competitions. On December 30, 1980 Denney played his first jumping in the ski jumping world cup . Although he was able to improve his performance in the Four Hills Tournament 1980/81 , he fell far short of expectations. It was only at the World Cup in Thunder Bay , Canada , that he made it into the points with 13th place in first and 10th place in second jumping. In the end, he finished 60th in the overall World Cup ranking. Even at the Four Hills Tournament 1981/82 there was no success. In his only other World Cup competition, he finished 11th in Planica and was able to win five World Cup points again. At the end of the 1981/82 World Cup season , he finished 54th in the overall standings. For the 1982-83 Four Hills Tournament Denney came not to, but he could in the World Cup jumps after the tour in Vikersund , Lahti and Oberstdorf total gain seven World Cup points. With these seven points he finished 50th in the overall World Cup ranking at the end of the season. With the jumping to the Four Hills Tournament 1983/84 , in which he was again unsuccessful, he ended his active ski jumping career.
