John Doyle (politician)

Robert John Doyle (born March 31, 1942 in Covington , Virginia ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party .

Life

Doyle studied political science and history at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia , where he graduated in 1966. He was a member of the West Virginia House of Representatives from 1982 to 1984 and 1992 to 2012 . Doyle campaigned in West Virginia Parliament, among other things, for the introduction of a partnership institute for same-sex couples ("civil union"). Doyle lives in Shepherdstown.
