John Erick Dowdle

John Erick Dowdle (* 1973 in Saint Paul , Minnesota ) is an American film director , producer and screenwriter .

Life

After graduating from St. Thomas Academy Roman Catholic High School , Dowdle attended the University of Iowa . He later moved to New York University , where he completed a film education.

In Los Angeles , Dowdle finally began his career as a director and screenwriter with the film Full Moon Rising (1996). His later films include the horror films Quarantine (2008), Devil (2010) and Catacombs (2014). Most recently the film No Escape was made . In 2018, the series Waco developed by him was broadcast, which has the events around the Branch Davidians to the content.

Dowdle has worked with his brother Drew since the 2005 film The Dry Spell . You both live in Los Angeles. Dowdle has been married to actress Stacy Chbosky since 2005 .
