John Hill (e-athlete)

John Hill is an American e-athlete known by the Nick ZeRo4 . In his Quake career he won the World Cyber ​​Games , several CPL titles and three QuakeCon awards .

Career

Hill played Doom for a while until his father, who is also his biggest supporter, suggested he play Quake , the first installment in the series, online. He improved quickly and took first place at the QuakeCon and third place at the WCG Challenge 2000.

In 2001 he won the CPL for the first time and was also able to repeat his QuakeCon victory after he had an outstanding victory in the final against the superstar Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel . He also took first place in the WCG.

After a dry spell in 2002, he made an impressive return in 2003; at the Electronic Sports World Cup he finished second behind Anton "Cooller" Singow and was able to complete his title hat trick at the QuakeCon.

After these tournaments it was quiet about ZeRo4. He put gambling in the background and focused more on college . In 2008, however, he came back again and took part in the ESWC in San José and the ESWC Masters in Paris, but retired from both tournaments prematurely. In the final of the Quakecon in 2008 he just lost to the Belarusian newcomer Alexei "cypher" Januschewski and came in second in the first QuakeLive tournament.

John Hill currently plays for the German clan SK Gaming .
