John Howland Award

The John Howland Award , also known as the John Howland Medal , is a science award in pediatrics . The prize has been awarded by the American Pediatric Society (APS) since 1952 and is the highest distinction from this specialist society. It is awarded to scientists whose research has significantly advanced paediatrics. The award is named after the pediatrician John Howland (1873–1926), whose profile also adorns the medal awarded.
