John Lesher
John Lesher (born May 12, 1966 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania ) is an American film producer . He became known through the film Birdman or (The Unexpected Power of Cluelessness) , for which he was awarded an Oscar in the category of best film in 2015.
Life
John Lesher's first film was David Ayer's cop-drama End of Watch (2012). In 2014, he produced the war drama Heart of Steel , directed and scripted by Ayers. For Birdman or (The Unexpected Power of Cluelessness) (2014) he won the 2015 Academy Award for Best Picture . He also produced the film Black Mass , in which Johnny Depp played the lead role of James J. Bulger .
He is married to Christina Liao.
