John Minsheu

John Minsheu (* 1560 in London ; † 1627 ibid) was a British linguist , English scholar , Romance scholar , Hispanist and lexicographer .

Life

Minsheu (or Minshew) was a language teacher in London. He emerged as the editor of Richard Perceval's grammar and dictionary . His most important achievement is the eleven-language dictionary Ductor in Linguas from 1617.
