John Nixon (* 1949 in Sydney ) is an Australian painter .

life and work

John Nixon was born in Sydney in 1949. He studied from 1967 to 1968 at the Preston Institute of Technology (PIT) and from 1969 at the National Gallery of Victoria Art School and at the State College of Victoria . In 1970 he received the diploma for art and education.

Nixon's painting is assigned to the direction of concrete art . John Nixon's work has been shown at exhibitions, including works by Imants Tillers , Mike Parr, Stephen Bambury , Jenny Watson, Robert MacPherson, Mladen Stilinović , Ian Anull, Lindy Lee, Julian Dashper , Milan Mrkusich, Marco Fusinato, and Peter Kennedy.

John Nixon lives and works in Melbourne.
