John Otway
John Otway (born October 2, 1952 in Aylesbury ) is a British songwriter and singer. He has a small but loyal audience. His first single, Really Free , was released when punk rock was just happening. It reached 27th place in the UK singles chart. He then received a contract for five music albums from Polydor .
On his 50th birthday, Otway was asked what he wanted. He replied, “A second hit”. At a concert, the audience selected Bunsen Burner to try. With that he reached 9th place in Great Britain and an appearance on Top Of The Pops .
