John S. Marr

John S. Marr (born February 22, 1940 in New York ) is an American medic and writer .

Life

Marr studied medicine and gained experience in the field of disease research . For many years he was the director and first epidemiologist at the New York City Health Department. He wrote more than 50 medical research papers and co-founded the disease and plague information site plaguescape.com . As a writer, John S. Marr has written two thrillers in which he lets his readers participate in his extensive background knowledge.

Marr now lives in Connecticut with his family .
