John Tebbutt
John Tebbutt (born May 25, 1834 in Windsor , New South Wales , † November 29, 1916 there ) was an Australian astronomer .
He discovered the Great Comet on May 13, 1861, which was later named C / 1861 J1 .
The lunar crater Tebbutt was named after him and the 100 dollar bill from Australia also showed his image. The asteroid (11212) Tebbutt has had his name since October 13, 2000.
