John W. Boyle
John W. Boyle (born September 1, 1891 in Memphis , Tennessee , † September 28, 1959 in Hollywood , California ) was an American cinematographer .
Life
Boyle worked as an independent cameraman from 1915 and was involved in more than 150 productions up to and including 1957. In addition to numerous short films , he worked exclusively in cinema productions. He didn't go to television. In 1916 and 1917 he was seen once in a smaller role as an actor .
From 1928 to 1929 he was President of the American Society of Cinematographers .
