Johnny Angel (rocker)

Johnny Angel (born May 24, 1938 in Mexico ; real name John Palomar ) is a Mexican- American rocker . In addition to Sonny Barger , he is considered the longest- serving Hells Angel and was represented in high positions in the club for a while.

Life

Johnny Angel grew up in Mexico, but then lived in the United States, where he served in the United States Army . He joined the Hells Angels two years after Sonny Barger. The two have enjoyed a long friendship since then. Johnny Angel was a member of the Hells Angels' Oakland charter, which is now considered the Mother Chapter . There he rose quickly in the hierarchy and was "Vice President" at Barger's side. In the 1970s and 1980s, when Sonny Barger had to serve several sentences, he led the charter as "President".

Around 2000 they both moved to Cave Creek , Arizona , where they are still involved in the charter there today.

Johnny Angel has a severely disabled son with his wife, Donna .

Johnny Angel was considered one of the most feared and daring Hells Angels in his younger years. George Wethern describes in his autobiography the anecdote that Johnny Angel once shot a bartender because he called him “Brother”. Among rockers, this greeting only applies to like-minded people.
