Johnny Famechon
Johnny Famechon (* 28. March 1945 in Paris ) is a former Australian boxer in the featherweight . He was both managed and trained by Ambrose Palmer .

In his professional debut on June 9, 1961, he reached only a draw against Sammy Lang over three rounds. On July 28, 1969, he defeated the Japanese Fighting Harada over 15 rounds by unanimous decision and was thereby world champion of the WBC . In April of the following year, he defended the title against Harada in the rematch with a classic knockout victory in the 14th round and lost it the following month to Vicente Saldivar by a unanimous decision of the judge.
In 1997 he was inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame .
