The Johnsbåen (Norwegian for Johns Sunken rock ) is an icy and crevasses coated hills in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In Orvinfjella it rises in the lower section of Vinjebreen .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named this hill, mapped it on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). It is named after John Snuggerud, who worked as a radio technician on this research trip.
