Johnson Neck is a relatively low-lying ice-covered isthmus in West Antarctica that connects the Dott Ice Rise with the eastern side of Pioneer Heights .

Johnson Neck was mapped by the United States Geological Survey as part of the mapping of the Heritage Range in 1961-1966 through field surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy . The American Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the isthmus after Douglas J. Johnson, who worked as a meteorologist at the American research station Byrd Station in 1965 .
