The Johnston Peak is a mountain with a sharp peak in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises 11 km north of Mount Marr and 18 km northwest of Douglas Peak .
The mountain was discovered in January 1930 by participants in the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (1929-1930) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson . This named him after the Australian parasitologist Thomas Harvey Johnston (1881-1951), the lead biologist of the research trip .
