Johnstone Ridge is a mainly ice-free mountain range in the Australian Antarctic Territory . In the Britannia Range of the Transantarctic Mountains , it extends 11 km north of Mount Olympus to the south side of the Hatherton Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1965 after the New Zealander Graeme N. Johnstone, a member of the team at Byrd Station for the exploration of the Northern Lights in the winter of 1962 and at McMurdo Station in the winter of 1964.
