Jon Day

Jon Day (born 1984 ) is a British literary critic and writer.

Life

Jon Day studied literature and philosophy at St John's College (Oxford) and received his doctorate there. He has been teaching English as a lecturer at King's College London since 2014 .

Day writes essays and reviews that have appeared in the London Review of Books , n + 1 , New York Review of Books , The Times Literary Supplement, and The Guardian . His book Cyclogeography is a philosophical attempt at his experience as a bicycle courier in London. His second book is about the racing pigeon and coming home.

Day was a juror for the Man Booker Prize in 2016 and the Wellcome Book Prize in 2019.
