Jonas Matulevičius

Jonas Matulevičius (born March 4, 1957 in Smalininkai , Rajongemeinde Lazdijai ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

In 1964 Matulevičius attended the primary school in Gudeliškė near Lazdijai and from 1968 the Krosna secondary school . From 1972 to 1976 he graduated from the Kaunas Forest Technical Center in Girionys and in 1988 the master's degree in forest management at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija in Akademija ( Kaunas Rajongemeinde ). In 1976 Matulevičius worked as a resin master in Kapčiamiestis at the forestry office . From 1976 to 1978 he did compulsory service in the Soviet Army . From 1978 he worked in the kolkhoz in Kirsna , from 1983 as nature conservation inspector of the Lazdijai district and from 1993 at the Lithuanian customs office ( customs department at the Ministry of Finance of Lithuania ). In 1997 he was the director of the Lazdijai branch of UAB Fregija . From 2000 to 2003, Matulevičius was the mayor of the Lazdijai district .

From 1999 Matulevičius was a member of the Naujoji sąjunga , from 2002 the Liberalų Demokratieų partija and then the party Tvarka ir teisingumas .
