Jonas Rudberus

Jonas Rudberus (born September 10, 1636 in Lyrestad , † June 21, 1697 in Lidköping ) was a Swedish organ builder and pastor.

Rudberus studied in Uppsala from 1650 . In 1659 he was ordained a priest. In 1665 he became pastor in Lyrestad, in 1674 provost in Lidköping. In the 1650s and 1660s Rudberus was an organ building student of the German-born organ builder Hans Henric Cahmann . He built organs in Karlstad (cathedral, 1669–1674), Lyrestad (1674–1682), Lidköping (until 1687) and Vänersborg . He died in Lidköping in 1697. He was buried there in the choir of the town church. An epitaph was placed there.
