Jonathan Samuel Rivera Vieco (born January 25, 1979 in Valencia , Spain ) is a Spanish handball player .

The 1.91 m tall Rivera Vieco can be used in many ways in the rear area.

Jonathan Rivera Vieco started playing handball in his hometown. He made his debut in the Spanish league ASOBAL for the local CBM Valencia , but never won a title. At this time he also got to know the Danish handball player Maja Sommerlund , who, however, left Spain again in 2002 and moved to Germany for the Frankfurt HC ; Rivera Vieco followed her in 2004 and hired the second division team Reinickendorfer Füchse . After only a year he moved on to the Dessau-Roßlauer HV , while his girlfriend signed with the Thuringian HC . When the Anhalter got into financial difficulties in 2008 and initially did not receive a license for the following season, Rivera Vieco returned to his old club, which was now called Füchse Berlin and was promoted to the 1st handball league . This contract ran until the end of the 2008/2009 season, but in January 2009 he moved ahead of schedule to HSC 2000 Coburg .
