Jondonperenlein Baatarbileg

Jondonperenlein Baatarbileg ( Mongolian : Ёндонпэрэнлэйн Баатарбилэг ) is a Mongolian politician of the Mongolian People's Party (MVP) who has been a member of the Great Chural since 2016 and Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sport since 2019.

Life

Jondonperenlein Baatarbileg finished middle school in 1991 and secondary school in Tsetserleg in 1993 and then began studying history, archeology and anthropology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Mongolia , which he completed in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA). He then began his professional career in government service and until 2009 was successively an employee, a senior employee and finally assistant to President Nambaryn Enchbajar in the presidential office . During this time he also completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Mongolia, which he completed in 2004 with a Master of Arts (MA). In 2006 he was awarded the medal “800. Anniversary of the founding of the Great Mongol Empire ”and in 2009 with the Order of the Pole Star. Between 2009 and 2010 he was advisor to the Minister for Food, Agriculture and Light Industry.

Subsequently, Jondonperenlein Baatarbileg acted as governor of the Archangai-Aimag from 2010 to 2012 and was also awarded the medal “90. Anniversary of the People's Revolution ”. After he was a member of the Representative People's Chural of the Archangai Aimag between 2012 and 2016, he has been a member of the Great State Chural since 2016 as a representative of the Mongolian People's Party (MVP) . During his parliamentary membership, he acted as chairman of the Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science of the Great State of Chural between 2017 and 2019. Since 2019 he has been Minister for Education, Culture, Science and Sport in the government of Prime Minister Uchnaagiin Chürelsüch .
