Joost Daalder

Joost Daalder (born September 28, 1939 in Bergen ) is a Dutch Anglicist .

Life

Dirk's son Leonardus and Hendrikas Huberdina (Oversteegen) Daalder acquired the connections at the University of Amsterdam in 1960 Cand. Suffered. and after a Harting scholarship at Edinburgh University (1960–1961) 1965 Drs. Litt. From 1966 to 1976 the husband Geertruida taught Hermine Broekmans, whom he married on January 15, 1966, at the University of Otago . From 1976 to 2001 the father of Hester Elizabeths and Jeremy Richard Johns taught at Flinders University - mostly in the field of English Renaissance literature.

His research interests are English Renaissance literature (1530–1660) (especially drama), Oscar Wilde, Shakespeare (and contemporaries), and Renaissance madness.
