The Flinders University (short: "Flinders") is a university named after Matthew Flinders in the Australian city ​​of Adelaide ( South Australia ).

The main location of the college, founded in 1966, is the "Campus Bedford Park", which is located about 10 km outside of Adelaide on a lake. Teaching centers are located at Lincoln Marine Science Center Port Lincoln, NT Clinical School Darwin and Alice Springs, Center for Remote Health Alice Springs.

The university has over 20 independent research centers and over 80 postgraduate courses alone are offered.

In 2007 about 15,000 students were enrolled at the university, of which about 1,750 were foreign students from more than 70 countries.
