Jordan Rhys Elsey (born March 2, 1994 in Adelaide ) is an Australian football player .
Career
Elsey received a scholarship from the South Australian Sports Institute for 2009 and 2010 , where he received athletic support, and in 2011 he was active in the FFSA Super League for his youth club Para Hills Knights . From 2010 to 2013 he was also a member of the youth team of the A-League club Adelaide United . Elsey was already on Adelaide's entry list for the AFC Champions League at the beginning of 2012 , but only received a professional contract for the 2013/14 season. In December 2013 Elsey traveled to Hong Kong to sign a loan deal with the local first division club Kitchee SC , but they decided at short notice for another player and the central defender returned to Adelaide. On January 11, 2014 he was substituted on as a right winger for lack of alternatives against Brisbane Roar and scored against the league leaders and eventual champions in stoppage time with a header to make it 2-1 away, a total of ten league appearances in his first professional season. In November 2014, Elsey tore his cruciate ligament and was out for the rest of the season.
