Jorge Herrán

Jorge Herrán (born February 5, 1897 in Uruguay , † September 5, 1969 ) was a Uruguayan architect and politician.

Herrán studied at the Universidad de la República in Montevideo, where he successfully graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in 1921. Five years later he married Josefina Puig Larravide, with whom he had a son and three daughters. From March 20, 1935 to March 1942, he was Uruguayan Minister of Construction. From January 1944 to October 1946 he worked at the Instituto Nacional de Viviendas Económicas .
