Jorge Nicolares

Jorge Nicolares (born March 15, 1905 ) was a Uruguayan boxer .

Nicolares, who is also known as Julio César Nicolari , appeared as a boxer at the 1924 Summer Olympics in the lightweight boxing competitions . In round one he defeated Ernests Gūtmanis . This marked the first victory of a Uruguayan boxer in the Olympics. He then lost in his second round fight on July 17, 1924 against the French Jean Tholey . He finished ninth.
